This wort kit is an all mash / full grain 15 litre kit straight from a Sydney Boutique Brewery! Just add 5 litres of water and a S23 Saflager yeast, if brewing cool, (or a S04 Safale yeast at temps up to 20 deg C) and you will produce a quality beer that will rival any commercial boutique beer! The brilliant Golden colour results from the combination of locally grown Pilsner & Munich malts. Generous additions of Saaz hops create a pronounced floral spicy finish and wonderful herbaceous aroma. The use of German Carapils malt, NZ Superalpha bittering hop and a combination of NZ ‘B’ Saaz 20mins before end-boil plus Czech Saaz right at end-boil, create a great pils/lager with perfect balance between strong bitterness and sweet malt finish along with the very pronounced floral character so typical of this style. This is a really popular Pilsner, although it is not typical of the smooth roundedness of a true Czech Pilsner such as Pilsner Urquell or even the Czech Budweiser, however, anyone who enjoys these beers will be very happy with this great brew kit.
